Eventful:
17-19 Feb: Painting, cleaning, packing, and falling sick.
20 Feb: Moving, moving, moving, more cleaning, and yet to recover since doctor could not give me any drowsy medication.
21 Feb: chased the green man in the morning, fell, bruised knee plus dislocated shoulder (the shoulder joint kinda pop twice); continue to make my way to the meeting, hrs later began to feel pain and couldn't raise the arm; Contacted htns that I cant participate in the competition this weekend; searched for a sinseh in the late afternoon since my pro uncle wasnt free and I had to endure a sub-std tui na sinseh for-what-seems-like-hours-of-pain.
22 Feb: supposed to be on leave to unpack but ended up resting since the only strong and reliable arm could not do any work.
23 Feb: right arm could move but certain movements were still painful and it's back to work; rushed down to see my pro uncle when he had an open slot for me~! And he did the MAGIC! yay~!
24 Feb - 4 Mar: Rescheduling and meeting all the appointments that were affected due to my MC, leave, etc etc etc and trying to resume working normally and catching up on what I had missed out; and continues to search for electrical applicances after work
5 Mar: Grandma passed away
6 Mar - 8 Mar: Shuttling from work and the wake; rescheduled all the appointments that were affected
9 Mar: Been a long and tiring day probably because of the rites and travelling.
10 Mar till present: Resumed work and still trying to catch up with the pace... lagging behind badly... oh~! and almost forgot about a competition. and luckily I had a replacement.

THE MOVE
I hereby salute all homemakers out there.
Lesson learnt: Maintenance is super duper important.
1) things that you think maybe of use IN FUTURE but has not used it for the past 2-3 years, throw bah~
2) label your boxes properly so that you can locate easily and do not have to open allll boxes to find the things you want.
3) Spread the weight of heavy stuff and not put all in one box. Hence you need to label since each box might have different kinds of things.
4) Wipe clean your stuff so that after you moved to the new place, minimal cleaning is needed.
This explained why lesson learnt. There will be less cleaning needed.
And I made a new best friend!
His name is Cif.

February is a HAPPENING month
because:
1) Went to Universal Studios on my boss's request!
hehe went to help out to take care of the students as there was not enough manpower. Ratio given to me was 1:4 and I was abit nervous since I had only taken 2 at one go... Anyway, on the day itself was 1:5. I was given an extra kid. Luckily, these children were well-behaved =) just needed some reminders.
It was definitely a working trip! but still fun nevertheless. Though there were some rides that I could not join as some children were scared to ride and I accompanied those few while waiting for others to return, hmm.. how to say leh... I definitely enjoy getting to know these children abit more. =)
Thanks to KL's reminder. In the end, only Suresh and I returned to Universal Studios after work. Yep, after work ie returned to school with the kids, work for another 2hrs and head back to Universal Studios. Managed to catch the waterworld show. Quite nice. And also the Mummy ride and fireworks. Definitely alot of rides yet to try but chances will come!
2) I had my first try at Batik Painting at Metta School. It was fun! The teacher complimented at my outlining skills with the wax thingy. =) However, I concluded that I suck at colouring and matching colours. I should just stick to colouring.
Yvonne on the other hand was great with the colours! We decided to team up in future if we ever were to do an art piece. I draw and she colour. ;)
3) Went to Chingay for the first time in my life. I had always find Chingay parades very boring on TV. However, I was wrong. Sis-in-law had 4 tix and jio-ed me together with them. So bro, sis-in-law, nephew and i sat at the first row! woots~! Sean was surprisingly calm with all the loud music that blasted our ears. He was fascinated with and excited about the floats. They were reaally pretty.
4) New Year was quite.... quiet. Not so much visiting because of the move coming up and other coincidences. Was quite preoccupied with packing since I could only pack during weekends. Also, some relatives were out of Sg and we did not have to visit them in a way...
5) JJ Lin came to our school. Saw him in person and head back up to my office and continued to work. hahhaha Just want to hao lian that I saw a celebrity. ;p
6) of THE MOVE. kinda affected my work. plus Feb was a short month. Had to take leave here and there. plus packing. thus work got piled up and up and up and I was soooooo behind time. shit.
7) NUSIS coming up and because of all the above, I hadn't train. shit.
8) Meeting the coasters (from India trip) on 27th for our post trip local comm service.
Jia you. dont screw up at work.

The Incredible India...
Before I left for India, I was feeling uneasy and unsettled. Things like unfinished work, sprained feet and neck, housing matters etc kinda made me experience a sense of negative energy around me.. In addition, my colleagues had to keep telling me be careful not to get diarhoea and so on.
Let's see what are the unfortunate things that happened to me in India:
1) Fell and hurt my knee while playing with the children.
2) food poisoning - had fever and vomiting on day 7 I think.
3) Thought I had recovered after some days and resumed normal food ie Indian food and started to feel bloated again and begin to have diahroea. That was probably the most demoralizing and upsetting part for me of the trip.
4) Lost my new pair of sandals outside the temple
5) and continue to LS whatever I had eaten.
Let's count my blessings:
1) Getting to know the children from the GTR middle school, who came from the next-door village (Irulas tribe). Seeing their smiles, seeing them learning so fast even though we had language barriers... Felt touched that they remembered my name even though I did not teach some of them. Felt so happy when a girl drew a picture of me on the sand.. Also felt happy that they children are eager to learn..
2) Getting to know the Arulagam volunteers: eg playing wild wild west, captain's ball, spotting elephants (Thanks to Mano who tried all means to help me see the elephants with the bino). Teaching peace by the river to Mr Mohan and Karthi. Writing out the lyrics of the children's songs for Gopal so that he could teach his 5 yr old son how to sing the songs. Having Sridtha to teach me how to use the chang-kor, remind me to watch my steps, be careful when I use the chang-kor etc etc etc.
3) Experiencing doing digging soil, weeding, moving stones and boulders, painting, soil erosion work, mangrove planting
4) Walking around the streets barefooted (actually quite cool. I was glad I did not step on any wet, muddy, saliva-ish or poo-ish stuff.)
5) Got a pair of incredible indian slippers which doesnt bite into my leg.
6) Making new friendships when I thought I will stop doing so.
7) Experiencing the warmth, compassion and kindness from everyone.
8) Havingsuper harmonious service learning trip when other members had experienced a conflictual one in their previous trips.
9) Getting to know every single member more through our own personal "book launch"
10) Having a great leader to lead the team and witnessing his remarkable leadership skills and facilitating skills.
11) Wont be deterred to return to India even though I had food poisoning!

Me and the admin clerk wanted to OT but our auntie insisted us to leave the place and go home. haha she's like a boss!

Activity DAY!
Well, today was Activity Day for the students - an early celebration in view of Children's Day.
Although did not do any work today eg checking my 23 emails, helping out the magnetic darts station and DJ booth was fun enough to cover the uneasiness of not being able to do any work. get wat i mean?
it's worth it to be able to see the children's other side eg dancing like nobody business haaha
We (as in AHPs) even had a great time pasting tattoos on ourselves in PT's room. -back to childhood- hehe
